[JIMSJOBS] Marketing Communications Manager, Indiana

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The purpose of this job is to manage marketing communication projects in support of the marketing team and to provide consultation and coordination support on regional MarComm activities.  The challenge of this position is to assist the marketing operation. 


The candidate with have the following:
• Support communication strategy development and implement communications for new product launches globally.
• Lead the development and execution of the global marketing communication plan.

• Serve as a written communications and visual graphics resource for all the regions.
• Create and provide a weekly the Market Intelligence communication, gathering input from trade press, Google reports, subscription services and all other available news media.  Distribute this market insights report internally.
• Manage & coordinate regional and global print advertising, press releases, social media, e-mail promotions, digital marketing, etc. as needed.  Determine the need for "in-house" communication development vs. outsourcing for marketing communication projects.
• Write press release drafts for top management refinement, and execute global distribution once approved.
• Ensure the proper use of the company's branding standards and logo in all media and communication tools.
• Leverage regional marketing communication best practices, and implement them globally.
• Lead the production of website content management / refinement, working with global / regional marketing managers, advertising agencies, IT and communications resources.  Also track and disseminate web analytics.
• Manage the company's web-based global inquiry management system to quickly follow-up on customer inquiries.
• Manage trade show activity & logistics for closures, services and packaging equipment in North America and provide support for all tradeshows globally by serving as a liaison with the regions, providing product samples, literature, graphics, booth tips, etc.  Keep a master list of tradeshows from around the world that should consider and track the company's level of participation.
• Seek opportunities to market the company's capabilities and cross promote with sister companies, extending budgets and multiplying exposure of the  products and service.
• Maintain a virtual global library of communications resources (photos, releases, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) that can be shared with regional marketing people from around the globe.
• Interface with Purchasing, to initiate purchase orders, authorize payment release, make low value corporate credit card purchases, etc. for applicable Global Marketing expenditures.
• Provide administrative / marketing coordinator support as necessary for Global Marketing Communication projects as well as for the Global Marketing Team.
• Comply with the E's environmental policy and all other policies, procedures and standards.



This position reports directly to the Global Director of Market Insights and Innovation.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:  Bachelor Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent experience.  .

EXPERIENCE:  Five+ years marketing communication experience in organizations developing the referenced skills.  Experience in the closures/packaging industry, the beverage industry, and/or other consumer packaged goods companies preferred.  The application of sound business practices through the knowledge and understanding of internal structures of organizations and how the missions and goals of each functional area work together to support the overall mission and goals of the company is mandatory.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent experience
• Five+ years marketing communication experience in organizations developing the referenced skills. 
• Strong technical knowledge of marketing communication tools and vehicles, writing and graphic design principles, web maintenance procedures
• Must be proficient in advanced PowerPoint and photo editing software
