A world class industry leader is seeking a Unix Engineer for a 6-12 month contract to hire opportunity located in Irving, Texas.

 

Description

 

Designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications. The technical skills include the ability to apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
  • 8-10 years experience required.

Skills

  • Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery (Required)
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.

UNIX (Solaris) Administrator position requirement:

  • Proven experience with Solaris Administration with following focused areas below. At least 7+ Years of hands on experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Solaris Operating System - minimum 10 years.
  • Experience with Solaris container/zone a must have - minimum 5 years.
  • Understanding of networking is required.
  • Need to have knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining of Sun/Solaris and Linux OS.
  • Knowledge of Jump/Kick start server along with network installation required.
  • Working knowledge of Volume manger (Veritas, Solaris etc.) is required, ZFS knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of a clustering software (Veritas or Sun) is required - minimum 3 years.
  • Experience with external storage (SAN/NAS) is required from server - configuration and administration prospective.
  • Working knowledge of IPMP and power path is a plus.
  • Shell scripting knowledge as Unix Administrator is required.
  • Experience with Linux (Red Hat) is required - 7-10 Years.
  • Working knowledge of backup and restore of UNIX servers.
  • Knowledge of capacity monitoring and management of UNIX servers.
  • High Availability concept/knowledge will be a big plus (i.e. Local Datacenter HA or DR across multiple DC.).
  • Knowledge of proxy service, naming services (LDAP, DNS etc.) is needed.
  • Solaris Packages and RPM maintenance and participate in patch management.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting servers and OS problems.
  • Any working knowledge of DTrace will be highly preferred.
  • Understands boot process and run levels, paging and swapping, inter-process communication, functions of devices and device drivers and file system concepts.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
  • Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
  • Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.

Continuon Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Full-Time L3f to assist & supervise Flexible Spending Account team’s daily telephone calls, workload balancing, and follow/reinforce Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidelines for flexible spending, dependent care, parking, transit plans. The purpose of the position is to oversee and assure compliance and adherence to each client’s Flexible Spending and/or HRA plans as well as back up support as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee FSA staff, direct workload, adhere process/procedures and Q C work.

Assistance answering incoming calls, passing calls & messages to appropriate departments

Reinforce daily logging of events in the CRM.

Assist with the funding/banking process

Qualifications:

Excellent communication, (both written and verbal communication), as well as excellent organizational skills.

High Accuracy of data entry keystrokes and High Accuracy in auditing of data.

High level of problem solving skills.

Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Word and Excel is a MUST).

Must be able to work independently as well as work well under time constraints in a team environment.

Excellent follow-up skills with a great attention to details.

 

Education Requirements:

Position Responsibilities – Summary

 

My client is seeking a strong Senior Software Developer to primarily develop new product releases and support existing products, to complete complex report development, to convert and load data for new customers, as well as to develop system integration interfaces between their products and their s third-party applications.

The position requires the exceptional talents of an experienced Senior Software Developer capable of working in a dynamic, fast moving team with hands on experienced using .NET, C#, and SQL Server. Additional experience with WPF, WCF, Windows Tablets, SQL Report Writer, and VB.NET would be beneficial.

Occasional travel to client locations located throughout the US is necessary and may require up to 20% of the time out-of-the-office.

 

This role reports directly to the Director of Engineering.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Design, document, code and unit test new software functions for our growing suite of applications

·         Work with and eventually lead teams that designs, develops, tests, documents, implements, and maintains commercial software components, reports, and product that support state and local government property tax related business processes.

·         Execute all phases of software application projects, including development of new functions, resolution of defects, database conversions, issue resolution, or any technical task required to ensure successful application deployment.

·         Contribute to recommendations of design approaches and assist in developing product enhancements (both functional and technical) that satisfy customer contract requirements identified by project managers.

·         Ability to analyze information and recommend plan of action to project team members or stakeholders.

·         Analyze and solve complex business problems.

·         Gather, compile, analyze and document software or system integration requirements.

·         Prepare documents describing installation and operating procedures for deliverables.

·         Troubleshoot applications and quickly resolve production issues.

Required Skills and Competencies:
