Benefits Specialist position specializing w/ADP Welfare/Retirement benefits- North Atlanta

 

Full-Time position w/benefits.

The Benefits Specialist will handle inquiries about company welfare and retirement benefits,

ensure that employees receive the proper benefits package and information,

follow up with health care providers and investment brokers, reconcile benefit billing and establish strong working relationships with benefit partners.

 

Job Responsibilities

•             Responds timely and professionally to employee inquiries regarding benefit options and 401(k) plans

•             Assists in compliance procedures

•             Calculates and monitors the proper paycheck deductions for benefits in ADP

•             Monitors accruals for accuracy in ADP

•             Assists with new hire orientation and on-boarding for benefits paperwork and explanations

•             Responds to National Medical Support Orders, Unemployment Insurance and Workers Compensation inquiries.

•             Stays up-to-date on state and federal regulations concerning insurance and other employee benefits.

•             Ensures that any changes to an employee's coverage---

including adjustments to the number of dependents or modifications requested during open enrollment---are correctly made in all systems

•             Reconciles benefit deductions to benefit billing by working closely with finance and payroll personnel to ensure accurate and timely processing

•             Runs reports as needed

 

Job Requirements

•             Minimum of 2-3 years of benefits experience

•             Possess knowledge of the Affordable Care Act requirements for employers

•             Demonstrates broad knowledge of employee benefits including health and 401(k)      

•             Must be self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment

•             Exhibits solid organizational skills and an ability to multitask

•             Must demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent customer service

•             Possess strong aptitude for navigating benefit software

•             Possess intermediate level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite programs

•             Communicates clearly and effectively with strong attention to detail

•             Able to successfully establish and maintain relationships with benefit partners

•             Experience working with employee benefits within a large organization (500+ employees)

•             Able to handle confidential information in a professional manner

•             Experience with ADP preferred
