Chief Architect, Cloud and Big Data Infrastructure and Platform for R&D Environment

 

 

Responsibilities	This a technical leadership role with responsibility for the full lifecycle of Huawei's first R&D Big Data Insight Platform architecture and long-term competence, including requirement analysis, architecture design, system design, and prototyping. Guide the Big Data Insight Platform development, production, deployment and optimization. Push and guide big data technologies application in Huawei internal development process and tools Leadership role for the technology planning of Huawei R&D big data technologies and platform. Strategic planning for R&D big data technologies big picture and technology evaluation roadmap. Collaboration with internal and external partners to drive joint design efforts
Qualifications	Required Knowledge/Skills: 10+ years experience in data management, data processing or data analytics. Strong Java and Object-Oriented programming skills, Scala a plus. Experience in Spark, committers preferred. Experience in Cloud Computing technology and Data Center, with technology such as OpenStack, VMware, AWS, GAE etc. Experience in Platform as a Service domain with knowledge in Cloud Foundry, Openshift etc. Experience with Hadoop SQL engine like Hive/Shark a big plus. Experience with machine learning/algorithms development a big plus. Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem, capabilities, use cases, and design principles. Large-scale distributed computing expertise. Experience of distributed system capacity planning and performance tuning a plus.

 

 

Relocation from within the US is fine, but candidates outside the US cannot be considered for this role.
