Product Manager –  Bay Area – Residents only please.

This is a management role responsible for all aspects of product definition and management for the company’s CPE product lines. These include DSL, fiber, LTE, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, MoCA, HomePlug based products, embedded firmware, and smartphone applications. This position is key in leading and managing cross-functional resources in delivering products and features to major service provider customers as well as retail markets. The person in charge will use extensive technical and business knowledge to provide both tactical and strategic direction to define and execute HW/SW features for current and next generation products.

MAJOR DUTIES:

·        Take ownership of new product introduction and current product enhancement for the Telco, MSO, and Retail CPE product lines

·        Lead all aspects of product life cycle from concept to launch as well as support through production

·        Drive and manage both internal and external engineering resources based on defined product requirements and product schedule

·        Manage cross-functional teams of hardware engineering, software engineering and QA, etc. through CPE product development and releases

·        Define product definition and specification through concise and thorough documentation (e.g. PRD, Functional Spec.) and communication with cross-functional departments

·        Author company responses to CPE related RFI/RFP from major customers, working closely with Engineering and Sales

·        Take charge of technical, operational, marketing issues from internal teams or customers. Manage and follow through the issue through resolution by making assignments to responsible teams. Proactively track tasks progress and manage schedule.

·        Provide technical expertise to Sales and Marketing for creation of product positioning, collateral, competitive analysis, training, and customer presentations

·        Contribute to PLMs product roadmap, strategy, and schedule for the CPE products. Contribute to the company’s overall business plan

·        Show consistent track record of delivering revenue-generating, high quality, competitive CPE products on time and within budget

·        Consolidate relevant data from customers through formal requirements, marketing trends, meetings and competitive analysis

·        Monitor closely relevant requirements from standard bodies and incorporate on the product roadmap. Collaborate closely to develop new features on vendor based software platforms

·        Interact extensively with customers in support of sales team. Establish & maintain strong relationships with lead customers. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key SW, HW, and ODM vendors

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Knowledge and Experience:

·        Broadband access architectures including fiber, coax DOCSIS, copper xDSL and fixed wireless (LTE)

·        Physical layer access technologies (EPON, GPON, DOCSIS, ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, VDSL, VDSL2, G.fast), protocols and standards

·        Home networking technologies and standards (WiFi, MoCA, PLC, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Z-wave, Zigbee, 6LoWPAN)

·        L2 and L3 network protocols (Ethernet, TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, IGMP)

·        Management protocols (Telnet, TR-069/98/181, SNMP)

·        Mediaroom IPTV and related experience including video quality attributes (channel change delay, packet delay variation, etc.)

Education and Additional Experience:

·        Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of product management experience in the Telco, MSO and Retail space

·        3+ years experience in more than one of the following disciplines: Product & Project management, SW or HW Engineering, Sale & Marketing, etc.

·        BSEE, BSCS, or BSCE is required, MBA, MS, or equivalent work experience desired

·        Good knowledge of embedded software development

·        Must have extensive engineering experience in electronic hardware, including testing and design of PCB level product development

·        Extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, business development and/or product deployment in a telecom or high-tech environment

·        Experience in product lifecycle management, product development methodology and process

·        Excellent communication, presentation, and group problem solving skills

·        General knowledge of manufacturing operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, product testing and quality control

·        General knowledge of finance, budget, income statements, ROI analysis, net-present value analysis

·        General knowledge of marketing, including market research, competitive analysis, pricing, and product launch

Director of Channel Marketing – Bay Area – Residents only please.

 

Responsible for supporting both channel and B2B businesses, marketing towards customers, education, enterprise and SMB customers through channel and direct efforts.  This position is a combination of both channel and B2B marketing which focuses on supporting company traditional retailers, VAR recruitment, distribution business equally B2B marketing focused on driving education, enterprise and SMB leads into the company’s growing sales organization.

 

Incredibly strong copywriting skills, ability to identify and deliver the “main message” and structure compelling call-to-action in campaigns and collaterals is vital. Must possess a passion for products and a solid technical aptitude.  Ability to identify strengths, competitive advantages and provide differentiation is paramount.  Company sales teams depend on the Director’s ability to arm them with industry leading collaterals and presentations.  The Director’s must possess the abilities to develop reseller programs and education designed to train, engage, and most importantly motivate.

 

Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic plan. Identify and prioritize efforts based on changing needs of the business. Work closely with sales teams to ensure the collateral, messaging and position are on point. Update and refresh collaterals, presentations and campaigns to ensure relevancy and success. Work closely with retail sales teams to ensure MDF and Co-op advertising and promotions are on-point, well executed and driving ROI.  Manage outside vendors including content aggregators and content creators to ensure our online product experience rich media is properly developed, delivered, implemented and measured.  Build out vertical market targeted programs with the emphasis on Education and Enterprise. (Generate leads and opportunities.  Build product solution awareness) Build out company Authorized Reseller program. (Recruitment, on-boarding, training, collateral, presentations, promotions, incentives, shows/events. Regular communication: education and motivation). Work with company’s partner marketing/Alliance organization to support strategic activities. Work with company’s corporate marketing team to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.  Work with company’s product management team to ensure up-to-date competitive positioning.

 

Skills and Experience: Must be energetic, highly motivated, dynamic, well organized seasoned professional with proven track record and applicable experience.  Must have strong project management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver projects on-time; work well under pressure.  Demonstrated success in driving channel facing programs. Demonstrated success in driving marketing programs towards enterprise and/or education market segments.  Must have excellent communication and presentation skills; inspire and influence.  Must be able to work in both key contributor and leadership role.

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing communications within related field/vertical markets.  Experience in both B2B and channel marketing.  Experience in education and enterprise verticals.  Proven track record of success; demonstrable.  Solid technical aptitude; understanding of Wi-Fi and related technologies a plus.

Sr. Embedded Linux Software Engineer - Wifi – Bay Area residents please.

Requirements:

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol
  • 3 or more years of experience developing or maintaining Linux or Windows Wi-Fi device driver
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Display a strong plus
  • Experience in developing network management software (SNMP, NETCONF) a strong plus
  • 4 or more years of experience in design and development embedded Linux software
  • Hands on experience on embedded software development for networking product
  • Experience on Linux kernel/application debugging
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and object-oriented design
