Technical Release Mgmt Specialist position w/Blue Cross/Blue Shield - Chicago, Illinois
BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for assisting matrixed team that implement and coordinates major data releases and initiatives, and as appropriate, manages relationships between
Position includes adhering to and reporting on department/project budgets, workload balancing and developing strategies and processes, and understanding the technical components of a variety of data repositories, and leading process improvement projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field OR equivalent work experience.
* 3 years of IT work experience with at least 1 years related to release management.
*Knowledge in the use of project management, spreadsheet and database query tools.
* Requires knowledge and experience in own function; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills
* Builds own knowledge of HCSC, business processes and customers
* Solves a range of problems
* Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
* Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
Preferred Position Requirements:
* 3 years experience executing Data Warehouse Projects
* Implementation of Process Improvements
* Resource Management
