The Salesforce.com Developer will work with internal stakeholders and team members to analyze, program, and deploy salesforce.com software packages or code, utilizing Apex, VisualForce, or other supported language and best practice to modify or expand functionality. They will interact with business leaders, other stakeholders and the in-house Salesforce.com team to gather and document business requirements. They will prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, design, build, and implement enhancements leveraging standard Salesforce.com functionality where possible and using custom programming as needed. This is a cross functional, hands on role acting as part of a small team.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

· Maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of current Salesforce standard functionality

· Contribute to overall configuration and design to Salesforce.com system architecture

· Participate as one of several Salesforce.com administrators to support production environment. Understand and support security role maintenance, including role hierarchy, security profiles and access rights. Create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and system triggers.

· Configure or code design recommendations in the development and maintenance of custom Salesforce.com applications. Utilize full systems development life cycle or Agile methodologies and best practices

· Design and build custom Salesforce.com applications from requirements

· Write business and technical specifications and documentation as needed

· Assist in evaluation of APPExhange tools for feasibility and impact to the business

· Support unit testing, integration testing, and review of business training materials

· Data management – cleansing data, handling exceptions, and proactively identifying data gaps and issues

· User support – case management and application maintenance
