Training and Development Specialist Position with Havenbrook Homes - Duluth Georgia(Northeast Atlanta)

 

HavenBrook Homes, a growing leader in providing single-family-homes for lease, is seeking a qualified Training and Development Specialist, within our Human Resources team. The Training and Development Specialist will primarily focus on the implementation and delivery of training new hires and employees, per our curriculum, continuous improvement and the implementation of corporate culture ideas. The Training and Development Specialist reports to the Human Resources Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•Conduct new hire Orientations every other month in accordance with company guidelines to ensure all employees are fully aware of all company policies and procedures and company culture.

•Conduct mini orientations on a weekly basis for new hires. This will include live meeting training for employees in other states.

•Provide employee training in accordance with company curriculum under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. Some training will include safety training, OSHA training, handbook review and continual company goal education to employees to ensure HavenBrook continues to be a great place to work.

•Coordinate training with outside vendors.

•Assist Human Resources Manager with the disbursement of training and development materials for employees and managers.

•First point of contact for all employees with career and development questions.

•Run various ad hoc reports for HR Manager and specific reports on training as it relates to cost benefit analysis.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience as a Training and Development specialist, OR Five (5) years of training and development experience and pursuing Bachelor’s Degree.

•Must maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment regarding sensitive employee and company information.

•Strong oral/written communication skills.

•Self-motivated individual with excellent presentation skills.

•Organized problem solver with great scheduling and coordination skills.

•Ability to manage competing priorities successfully.

•Intermediate or Advanced user abilities with Microsoft Office Suite along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging technology including HRMS/HRIS platforms.

•Ability to relate professionally and build positive working relationships with employees

•Ability to travel to other HavenBrook locations for training and new hire orientations.
