~~Summary:  The Human Resources Leader will assist in the development, implementation and administration of assigned Human Resource responsibilities at our manufacturing facilities in Southern GA.   The HR Leader will ensure that programs, policies and procedures support the overall business objectives in the areas of staffing, performance management, training and development, employee relations and engagement, compensation and benefits and general HR administration.

 

 

This position will provide HR oversight for all hourly personnel, which totals around 100 employees. The HR Leader will partner with other internal/external resources to provide and develop the human resource capabilities necessary to achieve business success and align with the business for growth. Effective resolution of employee relations issues and assurance of compliance with organizational policies/practices and federal, state and local employment laws, and practices are also critical functions of this position.  The HR Leader is key to the plant leadership team and is a strong business partner, employee engagement and related aspects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

 

• Provides direction and counsel regarding human resources aspects of plant operations.

• Manages employee relations.

• Handles requisition, recruitment, interview and selection.

• Resource for plant manager regarding human resources topics/compliance.

• Development, implementation, and auditing of policies and procedures.

• Analyzes training and development needs.

• Leads in the development and administration of training programs.

• Assists in the strategic development and planning process.

• Manages regulatory compliance efforts.

• Leads culture in assessment process and provides direction on developing action plans.

• Ensures Worker’s compensation reporting; recording of all work-related injuries; as well as maintaining the OSHA Log and filing.

• Manages plant benefits, compensation and payroll related process.

• Ensures accurate and timely review and maintenance of time keeping and attendance data, in support of the payroll process and local hourly attendance program.

 

• Represents site for all human resource aspects of plant operations regarding global projects and reports.

 

• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

 

• Manages tasks through proficient use of appropriate software applications to assure timely output and high quality of work.

 

• Exhibits competencies in managing and leading subordinates.

 

• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and confidence.

 

• Performs role of a leader by motivating, inspiring others to perform well, while displaying passion and optimism regarding the business.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor degree in relevant field with six to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
