Media Supervisor

 

Our client is looking for a Media Supervisor to join our growing agency team.  Our client is  a internet marketing service, a leading marketing services company.  The client offer a broad range of internet-based services to large marketers, including the design and execution of both customer acquisition and customer retention programs and campaigns. 

 

The Media Supervisor manages Media Planners and works collaboratively with Account Services and other Media team members across a range of clients.  She/he is responsible for developing and executing media plans related to multiple online media channels (display, lead gen, email, search, social, etc.).  There is a focus on both direct response and brand/awareness.

What you will do:

Conduct and oversee program results analysis and help translate information into observations, lessons learned, and recommendations to Clients.

Ensure media deliverables are met and align with Client goals/objectives which includes the oversight of continuous program optimizations.

Identify strategies for maximizing results for clients.

Manage small team of Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners who will aid in campaign execution/analysis.

Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.

Evaluates editorial content and audience composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach target audience.

Provides input to creative recommendations when appropriate to improve media performance

Calculates reach and frequency of potential media vehicles.

Gathers statistics and prepares media plan to guide buying process.

Presents media plan to account services and client for approval and makes adjustments as necessary.

Negotiates best price for media, as specified in approved media plan, to optimize budget.

Buys negotiated media space, or site placement.

Monitors media for placement and time discrepancies and negotiates credit or billing adjustments when necessary.

Establish customer accounts with outside advertising networks/vendors.

Mentor junior members of Media team.

 

What you will need:

 

5+ years of relevant media experience. At least 3+ years of online media planning/buying

Deep knowledge in the following areas of interactive media: Branding and Awareness Campaigns, Direct Response, CPM, CPL, CPA, CPC, Behavioral Targeting, Localized Placements, Lead Generation Campaigns, Ad Network Placements, and others

Must be proficient and have experience in media planning and negotiations

Fluid understanding of all relevant ad serving and research tools including but not limited to Doubleclick, Atlas DMT, Nielsen and Comscore

Exceptional verbal/written communication skills

Good mathematical aptitude and attention to detail

Experience with and knowledge of business productivity tools, especially Powerpoint and Excel.  (Excel wizards a plus!)

Bachelor’s degree minimum
