Position Summary:

 

Lead planning and execution of market and customer focused development programs from design phase through deployment. Identify and communicate program scope and ensures business and customer objectives are met. Ensures timely and effective communication between all parties occur. Coordinates schedules, manages risk, budgets, and assigns tasks while insuring business processes and the product architecture are followed. Keeps stakeholders informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected results.

 

Keys to this Role:

 

1)    Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree preferred

2)    2+ years of experience in Program Management or engineering leadership

3)    Relevant experience as a program manager servicing DoD industry

4)    4+ years of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in servicing DoD or high tech industry

5)    Secret Level Clearance or Higher Preferred - Must be a US Citizen

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

• Lead the effective implementation of the Statement of Work.
• Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts
• Formally identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risk throughout the program life cycle. Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from scope, budgets and/or schedules are evident.
• Defines technical scope, capability and details of program requirements, customer needs and organizations deliverables.
• Integration and coordination across functional teams, including Software Engineering, System Architecture, Integration, Quality, and Documentation to facilitate the effective on-time/on-budget development and delivery of Mercury’s products and system solutions
• Oversees the requirements of the account to ensure meeting customer commitments for schedules and deliverables.
• Identifies and resolves critical issues, such as product delivery delays, and changes to customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Interact with and synchronize all key members of the project team and stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to all government regulatory guidance while representing the Company’s interests
• Perform variance analyses of schedule and cost on a formal and informal basis and present them to senior management (i.e.: earned value management system)

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

 

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Program Management or engineering leadership
• 4+ years of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in servicing DoD or high tech industry
• Knowledgeable in all phases of the product development life cycle from requirements through design, implementation and integration
• Solid leadership and management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
• Experience throughout the program lifecycle from systems engineering through product validation
• Strong analytical ability and communications skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of program scheduling techniques
• Ability to obtain US Secret clearance; current active clearance preferred
• Teamwork - Must be able to work with people with diverse background
• Adaptive - Must be able to thrive in an innovative environment
• Results - Set clear goals and objectives, that enable the business, teams and individuals to be successful
• Communications: Supply accurate and real time information in a clear and precise manner to all stake holders
