POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Integration Architect designs Application Integrations inside the company and with external partners.
Typical project tasks include:
• Produce high level estimates for integration development
• Create integration designs
• Review specifications created by business analysts to ensure they are consistent with the design and contain enough information for developing technical specifications
• Mentor developers throughout development lifecycle ensuring that standards and best practices are followed
• Conduct design and code reviews
• Communicate the project status and potential impacts to schedule, scope or cost with stake holders.
• Development and improvement of best practices and efficiency

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop and test complex B2B & Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solutions in webMethods
• Ability to create a technical design and estimate development tasks
• Design systems using components of Software AG webMethods Suite
• Develops Middleware Infrastructure Design
• Manage stakeholder and deliver to project milestones
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIRED
• Bachelors degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
• 7+ years of IT experience with B.A/B.S
• 5+ years of IT experience with a Masters
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• webMethods experience
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of the Architecture and Design of SOA, ESB, BAM, BPM and CAF platforms
• Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Application Integration technologies and methodologies such as Service Oriented Architecture, Publish and Subscribe, Managed File Transfer
• Thorough understanding of XML technologies (XML, XSD, XSLT, parsers, etc.), core SQL and database knowledge (Oracle)
• Experience in webMethods Optimize implementation and BAM concept
• Experience in CentraSite / ActiveSOA and Governance concepts desired
• Experience in My webMethods Server portlet development and CAF concepts is a bonus
• Experience in most recent versions in WebMethods (7.x, 8.2, 9.0)
• Familiarity with API design concepts or API Management tools are desired
• Knowledge in SAP Integration tools (XI/PI, BPM, Portal or Process Orchestration) is a plus
• Exposure to Biztalk or experience with Biztalk
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives considering business needs, technology fit, cost/benefit, security, disaster recovery and department strategies
• Ability to deliver on commitments (high quality, on budget, on time) while working on multiple projects concurrently
• Experience with MS-Excel, MS-Word
• Strong decision making abilities and problem resolution skills.
• Excellent leadership and team work skills.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand end-audience needs and requirements.
• Experience with working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong familiarity and experience with formal software development lifecycle methodologies
