IT /Technical Sourcing Manager position w/Oracle Purchasing exp. in North Metro Atlanta - 3 Month Contract to Hire
Position Summary
My client has an immediate, 3 month contract to hire opportunity for a Senior IT Sourcing Manager in the North Metro Atlanta area.
The IT Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing the strategic sourcing and tactical procurement of services and agreements with IT providers such as Microsoft, Oracle, EMC, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement sourcing/procurement strategies within area of assigned responsibility to support corporate objectives and the organization's need for a diverse and globally competitive supply base.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Buyer Business Plan that outlines strategies and specific actions to deliver the plan.
- Implement and ensure compliance with all relevant Procurement Policies and Procedures.
Basic Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain or equivalent (MBA preferred)
- 7- 10+ years of experience negotiating agreements with Oracle and Microsoft (as well as EMC and, which are preferred).
- Solid Procurement experience in large enterprise organization(s)
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes
Preferred Requirements:
- MBA preferred, but not required
- CPM or other certification preferred, but not required
