Analysis, requirement gathering and planning
• Analyze existing HBase cluster setup
• Analyze existing applications in scope
• Plan for HBase cluster migration to HBase1.1.2 (HDP2.3.4)
• Plan for Active/Standby failover cluster setup
• Assist in development of failover scenarios and test cases for them
• Assist in design and development of failover (manual & automated) process in the event of failover scenarios
b. Implementation
• Help customer upgrade/migrate the two non-production clusters in scope from HBase0.98 to HBase1.1.2 (HDP 2.3.4)
• Validation of migrated non-production HBase clusters
• Performance tuning recommendations of migrated non-production HBase clusters
• Setup Replication for Active/Standby failover between the two non-production HBase clusters
• Assist customer with application failover testing in failure test scenarios
• Validate and test different failover scenarios
• Perform Handover the clusters and Knowledge Transition to customer
• Develop an operational runbook for the HBase cluster
c. Services Excluded from Scope
• Installation, configuration or management of non-Supplier supported software components.
• Plan, Design or Implementation of Active/Active replication
• Custom application development, performance tuning, bug fixes of existing or new applications
• Install, configure, develop, test, troubleshoot and support of application
• Post production application support after the engagement completion
