Senior Active Directory Engineer with working operational knowledge of both Enterprise Active Directory environments and  Microsoft Exchange implementations. Candidate should possess expert knowledge of Microsoft's products with experience to include detailed level of designing and implementing of the following:

·       Active Directory experience for enterprise environments.
·       Active Directory Federated Service known as “ADFS” knowledge and support experience.
·       Exchange support experience for enterprise environments.

Responsibilities & Knowledge

  • Work with other team members on Wintel Infrastructure projects, including SharePoint, and SQL from Active Directory standpoint.
  • Planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of Active Directory based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems).
  • Maintain and administer Active Directory Servers, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance plans and documents.
  • Works with business users to document and analyze workflows that will be automated in Active Directory. Work with business users to address requirements, usability, accessibility, security and change requests to ensure Active Directory functionality
  • Installs and deploys Active Directory services, performs system upgrades and patching, makes recommendations for system improvements, and ensures the integrity of the Active Directory in accordance industry best practices
  • DNS and WINS troubleshooting.  
  • GPO, LOGON SCRIPTS creation/ Implementation and troubleshooting
  • Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all software related to AD infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response.
  • Creates and maintains a new and existing baseline build guides, technical drawings & schematics, infrastructure documentation, change requests, and test plans.
  • Strong, technical working knowledge of Windows 2008 Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Enterprise Active Directory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, IT or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Must have at least 5-10 years of experience in and Active Directory

·        Must have at least 2-3 years Active Directory Federated Service known as “ADFS” knowledge and support experience.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization.
  • Must have strong scripting skills and knowledge of Windows PowerShell. PowerShell scripting highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written skills.
  • Broad and thorough understanding of the entire Active Directory, Excellent AD/DNS troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple small to medium size projects of varying complexity
  • Experience with data center operations and knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Prior experience providing production support for highly available services
  • Windows application performance trending and health monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory 2003/2008 including but not limited to GPO, schema, and best practices.
