Performance Engineer

18+ month open ended contract

$45-47 MAX MAX

 

Applicants must have 5+ years of Performance Engineer experience specifically with experience testing webservices

 

Responsibilities of the Performance Engineer:

• The Performance Engineer will be tasked with creating solutions for capacity and performance testing in a webservices environment, with the overall goal to ensure performance capacity and reliability of the company’s applications and infrastructure. The majority of the testing will be on webservices within the appropriate business units.

 

· Responsible for the development of test strategies for projects that may span multiple products, technologies and test disciplines.

· Working closely with project teams to ensure test cases and acceptance criteria adhere to requirements and are accurately validated during the certification process.

· Providing guidance and oversight for improvements to software measurement, metrics and analytical techniques.

 

Requirements for Performance Engineer:

• Work collaboratively with the business, architects, and developers to define non-functional requirements, identify gaps, assess capability, and document risks.

• Develop performance and capacity models as well as project estimates.

• Track and analyze key metrics responsible for measuring and monitoring performance and capacity, quality and release readiness

• Design and implement performance and capacity testing solutions using a variety of third party and custom tools in a distributed highly available environment

• Troubleshoot complex configuration, infrastructure, networking, and application problems that could impact the performance or capacity of our system.

• Provide release performance assessments and proactively communicate risks and dependencies which may impact the reliability, performance and/or availability of the product.
