POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our award-winning MDM software solutions, AirWatch is actively seeking a Senior HR Generalist.

 

The ideal candidate will be a business partner to the organization with a strong background in employee relations.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Monitor the performance management system and counsel managers concerning employee performance issues, including advising on employee coaching, performance improvement plans, corrective actions, employment terminations, and minimizing the risk of adverse action

• Consult with and coach managers and employees on routine to complex employee relations issues, assist with policy interpretation, and serve as a resource to prevent and/or facilitate conflict resolution

• Advise line management on appropriate administrative or disciplinary action

• First point of contact for leave of absence requests including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Workers Compensation.  Ensure compliance, recordkeeping, customer satisfaction and follow-through

• Manage separation process, when needed, ensuring all aspects are documented and followed for compliance.  Utilize exit survey data to provide feedback to managers and maintain on-going records for analysis and implementing enhancements as possible.

• Complete exit interviews and analyze turnover and exit interview data to make recommendations to improve employee retention

• Manage post-employment situations

• Write and communicate HR policies and procedures, and remain current on laws and regulations effecting employment practices

• Develop management training programs, such as Performance Management, Employee Awareness trainings, and Supervisory Skills, as well as delivering such training

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

• B.A. or B.S. Degree or equivalent experience

• PHR Certification preferred

• 12 to 15 years of HR Generalist experience with strong focus on employee relations 

• Knowledge of current federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, policies and directives pertaining to human resources

• Working knowledge and proven proficiency in successfully resolving labor and ER issues and claims; as well as a familiarity with labor & ER cases and agencies (e.g. WARN Act, FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, OFCCP, NLRB, etc.)

• Experience coaching and consulting with HR colleagues, managers, and employees on routine to complex employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Integrity and confidentiality

• Project management skills

• Attention to detail and follow through

• Listening and interpersonal skills

• Analytical ability and problem resolution skills

• Organizational skills

• Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative
